My son, Josh, flew home for Christmas and was scheduled to fly back to his home state the day after Christmas; however, he received a notification that the flight had been canceled as he got out of the car to go to the TSA checkpoint. Shockingly, the next flight to his hometown would depart in 5 days.  Josh searched for other flights and went to multiple car rental agencies to get transportation but was unsuccessful.   Initially, he felt some frustration because the flight cancellation came without warning. In addition, Josh started a new job after graduating college and is still on probation; however, his work supervisor was understating. As Josh stood in a long line at the Southwest customer service desk, waiting for a refund, he began to look around and feel thankful. He witnessed a mother and child crying, people yelling, and a pipe bust in the baggage claim area. Nevertheless, Josh may have looked forward to an effortless plane ride. But he quickly realized he could return to Mama's house, where he had a warm bed and could get a good night's sleep and home-cooked meal's, unlike most stranded travelers who had spent nights at the airport, with flights rescheduled, only to be canceled again in an unfamiliar city. The next day Josh picked up a rental car to drive home. When he arrived at the rental agency, he was upgraded to a luxury model, which made a comfortable ride. He stopped to get vanilla long-johns at his favorite donut shop and transported some oversized items that he could not have carried on the plane, and the one-way rental fee was waived. Sometimes our plan is not the plan. Do not be discouraged when things become challenging, don't go as planned, get rerouted or take a new route because Plan B can be a blessing in disguise that will still take you where you need to be. Keep it moving💜💚#rerouted#iamkim#encouraged#planb#newroute#keepitmoving
